Cultural Traditions

The Cultural Traditions Programme aims to encourage debate on the richness of cultural diversity in a manner which is neither threatening nor divisive, thereby promoting greater mutual respect and understanding of the rich cultural heritage of Northern Ireland.

Support is provided for activities which enable as wide a cross-section of community to take part in activities which enhance awareness and appreciation of our shared cultural heritage and its diversity. The programme seeks to present cultural diversity as a strength rather than a weakness.

In addition to funding the work of the Ultach Trust, CCRU directly funds Irish language and Ulster-Scots projects.
