Belfast, Northern Ireland. 1986
Riot control relies heavily on the team holding together. The NCOs (Non Commissioned Officers) are not there to push the troops on but more to hold them together. It can be quite frightening knowing that there is only a thin piece of plastic between you and the madding crowd. (Paul Crispin)
