Belfast, Northern Ireland. 1986
This is 'The Wheel Barrow'. It is used to defuse bombs by remotely approaching the suspect device. There is a very, very robust camera fitted so the bomb disposal expert can manoeuvre the barrow into position and then fire a small cannon at the device, thus safely neutralising the bomb. The vehicles either side of the Wheel Barrow are called 'Pigs'. Don't ask me why, maybe because they are hard to drive. Maybe because anyone who saw them coming said here come those swine's again :-)) If you can't laugh at yourself who can you. (Paul Crispin)
