Each of the Statutory Departmental Committees is made up of 11 Assembly members to "advise and assist" the Ministers. The Committees provide a system of checks and balances and allow Assembly members to question Ministers on policy matters. The two most senior figures on each Committee are the chair and deputy chair.

1 Mr Ken Robinson replaced Mr David Burnside as a member of the Committee from 18 June 2007.
2 Mr Raymond McCartney replaced Mr Paul Maskey as a member of the Committee from 10 March 2008.
3 Mr PJ Bradley replaced Mr Pat Ramsey as a member of the Committee from 29 June 2009.
4 Mr Trevor Clarke replaced Mr Jim Shannon as a member of the Committee from 15 September 2009.
5 Ms Michelle McIlveen replaced Mr Nelson McCausland as a member of the Committee from 15 September 2009.
6 Mr Billy Leonard replaced Mr Francie Brolly as a member of the Committee from 11 January 2010.
7 Mr Declan O’Loan was appointed as Deputy Chairperson of the Committee from 12 April 2010.
7 Mr David McNarry ceased to be a member of the Committee from 12 April 2010.
8 Mr David McClarty was appointed as a member from 13 April 2010.
8 Mr Dominic Bradley ceased to be a member of the Committee from 13 April 2010.
8 Mr Thomas Burns replaced Mr P J Bradley as a member of the Committee from 24 May 2010.
9 Mr PJ Bradley replaced Mr Declan O'Loan as Deputy Chairperson of the Committee from 28 May 2010.
10 Mr Declan O'Loan replaced Mr PJ Bradley as Deputy Chairperson of the Committee from 25th June 2010.
11 Mr David Hilditch replaced Mr Trevor Clarke as a member of the Committee from 13 September 2010.
12 Mr William Humphrey replaced Ms Michelle McIlveen as a member of the Committee from 4 October 2010.
13 Mr Pat Sheehan replaced Mr Raymond McCarthy as a member of the Committee from 13 December 2010.
