Introduction

The following are the (draft) results from the first of two Westminster by-elections held in the Fermanagh-South Tyrone constituency in 1981. The first by-election, held on Thursday 9 April, was contested by just two candidates; Harry West of the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) and Bobby Sands who had been on Hunger Strike since 1 March that year.
