Northern Ireland Women's Coalition The Northern Ireland Women's Coalition was formed in the spring of 1996. It draws members and support from the two main communities in the region. The NIWC put forward an agenda of "reconciliation through dialogue, accommodation and inclusion". Within a very short period of its formation the party nominated 70 candidates in the Northern Ireland Forum elections on 30 May 1996 and had two people elected; Pearl Sagar and Monica McWilliams. This entitled the NIWC to representation at the multi-party talks at Stormont. More recently the party had two candidates elected on 25 June 1998 to the Northern Ireland Assembly.
