EMERGENCY PROVISIONS ACT STATISTICS

This is a publication prepared by the NIO Statistics and Research Branch and brings together a range of information on the operation of the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1991 within the relevant period. It contains quarterly statistics on scheduled offences including custodial waiting times of defendants, numbers of persons tried, outcomes of appeals, percentage on bail when tried, numbers of arrests and searches carried out under the legislation's, and much more. The information for most sections is supplied for several years and is in tabular form to facilitate comparison.
